Food and Dining near CUNY Graduate Center (Thursday, April 6, 2017)

Near The Graduate Center there are multiple options for lunch (we are across the street from the Empire State Building). If you walk up or down Fifth Avenue from The Graduate Center, you will find many fast-food restaurants (not all bad). Some other helpful options are listed below. Cafe Rustico II (on 25 W 35th Street) makes an acceptable pizza (unless you are Italian). O'Reilly's Bar and Kitchen (21 W 35th Street, between Fifth and Sixth aves) is more of a sit-down restaurant but it has a fairly good lunch special (and beer). You will be in Koreatown, so there are plenty of Korean restaurants on 35th, 33rd and 32nd between Fifth and Sixth avenues. Barn Joo 35 opened just this year at 34 W 35th and offers a good and inexpensive lunch special.

There are plenty of pubs within two blocks if you are in the mood for an after-conference drink. The already mentioned O'Reilly's, The Playwright (right next door to O'Reilly's), Peter Dillons (2 E 36th), Slattery's Midtown (8 E 36th), The Gingerman (11 E 36th).
